Founder and Instructor
Sloan is excited to open Refine Dance Collective in 2026. Sloan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Prior to this, she graduated with Honors from the Dance Program at Marin School of the Arts in Novato. Her dance journey began in Marin County, training at various schools, where she studied extensively in ballet, hip hop, jazz, and contemporary, and participated in studio dance teams competing locally. Sloan has performed with Disney World's Live Entertainment department in Florida. Her performance credits also include Meredith Cabaniss's reimagining of Rite of Spring (2022), Valerie Huston's Winters Song (2024), a dance elegy to melting ice, and Alyssa Mitchel's Endure (2025). Sloan's artistic endeavors extend to choreography and film. Sloan has choreographed and performed in award-winning student films, and has been recognized with multiple dance scholarship awards for her exceptional commitment to the art and demonstration of strong dance research abilities.

Maddie Sager grew up in Missoula, Montana, training at Rocky Mountain Ballet Theater. She relocated to the Bay Area in 2019 to study at the LINES Ballet BFA program at Dominican University of California. Since graduating in 2023 with a BFA in dance and minor in business administration, Maddie has danced professionally with companies such as Oceanica Ballet, Peninsula Ballet Theater, Artease Dance Collective and more. She teaches dance for all ages at multiple studios across the Bay Area. Additionally, she is a certified GYROTONIC® trainer and has completed a 200hr Yoga Teacher training.

Ava Taylor grew up dancing in the Bay Area, and is currently pursuing a BFA in dance at UC Santa Barbara. She has supplemented her dance training through summer intensives with Alonzo King Lines Ballet, Alvin Ailey, and GagaLab Italy, and she is always looking for ways to make dance more fun and enjoyable to all!

Corinne Dummel is a contemporary dance artist based in San Francisco, California. She earned her BFA in Dance and BA in Philosophy from UC Santa Barbara. Corinne danced with Selah Dance Collective and toured with the UCSB Dance Company. She has produced shows with SAFEhouse Arts in San Francisco, and choreographed a department piece for the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts’ 2025 Dance Concert. Corinne currently dances with Tether Dance Project and teaches at Ms. Marian’s Dance Garden and DivaDance San Francisco.

Brooke is thrilled to be a part of Refine Dance Collective, where she looks forward to inspiring young dancers and sharing her love for music, movement, and creativity. Brooke started dancing at 3 years old. Her training also includes ballet, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. Brooke also attended the Marin School of the Arts (MSA) dance program as part of her Novato High School experience, further expanding her skills and passion for performance. Brooke is currently studying Psychology at College of Marin and also works at Bourree Boutique, Marin’s only dance-focused retailer located in San Rafael. Brooke believes in creating a positive and inclusive space where dancers feel confident to express themselves. Dance has always been a joyful and grounding force in her life, and she’s excited to help students discover that same connection.
